As a singer songwriter Louise has performed at the Blackstone Heritage State Park, Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary, and open stages throughout the Boston Metro West Area including the Old Vienna Coffee House, Passim’s, the Acton Jazz Café, and the Natick Center for the Arts.
I sing about the past, my current experiences, and my hopes for the future. I combine words with melody to write songs that appeal to both children and adults. Hopefully they will shed a little light and spread a little light.

Ed has participated in open stages and fiddle contests in the Philadelphia area. He organized and was the lead fiddler for June Apple, a string band that was active playing at local arts and historical festivals in eastern Pennsylvania in the early nineties.
I learned to play piano and read music as a child, but never really did much with it. Then in 1986 I attended an Old Time fiddle festival in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. I came away from that experience wanting to play. I began attending jams, learning tunes, and taking lessons. What started out as a hobby is nowdays how I make my living. Music has enriched and changed my life.

I had the honor of having October Rose play for Newton Open Studios 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. October Rose was a wonderful and important addition to our event.
The music was beautiful, lively and fitted our occasion so well. The playing was masterful and Ed and Louise are a delight to work with.
I highly recommend adding the live and lively music of October Rose to any occasion. I, for one, certainly will not plan a special occasion without them. Thank you October Rose.
